Examination
The “PECB Certified ISO 45001 Lead Implementer” examination aligns fully with the PECB Examination and Certification Programme (ECP) standards.
It encompasses several competency domains:
- Domain 1 covers the fundamental principles and concepts of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and OH&S Management Systems (MS).
- Domain 2 deals with the initiation of an OH&S MS implementation.
- Domain 3 is focused on planning an OH&S MS implementation in accordance with ISO 45001.
- Domain 4 involves the actual implementation of an OH&S MS based on ISO 45001. Domain 5 evaluates the performance of an OH&S MS.
- Domain 6 is dedicated to the continual improvement of an OH&S MS as per ISO 45001.
- Domain 7 prepares candidates for an OH&S MS certification audit.
Certification
After successfully passing the exam, you may apply for any of the credentials listed in the following table. A certificate will be awarded upon meeting all the requirements associated with the chosen credential. - Managing documented information within the OH&S framework
- Monitoring the performance of the OH&S Management System

- PECB will supply more than 450 pages of instructional material featuring explanations, guidance, and practical examples.
- Participants will receive a certificate for 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits.
- Should a candidate fail the exam, they are entitled to one free retake within 12 months of the original exam date.
